Nathan Stubbs, Director at Conscious Travel, has recently returned from an incredible hut-to-hut cross-country ski tour through the stunning terrain and landscape that can only be found in the Arctic. Known as Europe’s last great wilderness this unique destination must be seen to be believed!
I was fortunate to join a great group led by Nick Wildman from Trident Adventure. We tested our resilience through a range of arctic survival exercises and challenged ourselves to stay in basic hut conditions with no electricity or running water as we completed this 9-day expedition.
When faced with an Arctic storm, 60mph winds and complete whiteout we adapted and moved forward. In the words of Nick –
“You don’t need more time, you need less distraction
You don’t need motivation, you need self-discipline
You don’t need more resources, you need more resourcefulness
You don’t need luck, you need preparation
You don’t need to be busy, you need to be focused
You don’t need to know everything, you just need to start” ✅
